Facebook Data Center Site Coordinator Region Lead in Altoona, Iowa

The Site Coordinator Regional Lead will work very closely with the Data Center Site Manager and the Facilities Manager to ensure all facets of the day-to-day operational needs are met. This is a full-time opportunity in our brand new Altoona Data Center.

Required Skills:

  1. Site & Regional Support

  2. Functions regionally and globally with internal and external partners to integrate and execute on activities/initiatives and programs across multiple data center sites within their region

  3. Influences and drives global strategic direction for peer Site Coordinators within their region

  4. Manages communications for our growing data center sites of 10-400+ employees and contractors including general announcements, group moderation, external Facebook page management, maintenance of schedules, protocols and other internal documents

  5. Leads regional and local data center cultural initiatives

  6. Communicate and escalate any issues related to the support functions mentioned here

  7. Support site specific special projects and organizational developed projects

  8. Support and coordinate site tours and visits where applicable

  9. Support and plan site learning & development initiatives with the Data Center Site Manager and team

  10. Other duties as required by the Site Manager

  11. Manages and delivers the on-boarding program to new regional Site Coordinators

  12. Representative for your region within a global program of regional like participants to establish role best practices

  13. Serves as a mentor to other Site Coordinators within region

  14. Contributes to Site Coordinator goal setting within region

  15. Activities & Events

  16. Responsible for all employee events on and or offsite

  17. Work directly with the Global Events team on corporate planned events

  18. Support and schedule regional, virtual, and onsite professional training classes

  19. Support the Site coordinators, Site Managers within the region and Community Development Team with community events and media appearances, as needed

  20. Report back to the business on effectiveness of communications, programs, and events

  21. Community

  22. Supports the community grants program for your site and region, in collaboration with the Community Development Team

  23. Track and report on local community outreach projects as needed

  24. Coordinate and communicate community outreach opportunities for your data center team in collaboration with the regional Community Development partners

  25. Budgeting & Procurement

  26. Coordinate, track and report on budget roll ups across the regional sites monthly and quarterly

  27. Track/Action purchase orders in conjunction with our Supply Chain Operations Team

  28. Work directly with corporate Procurement Operations to on board and order from various vendors used at the Data Center

  29. Reconcile charges from various expense accounts

  30. Vendor Management

  31. Supervise and manage third party office support personnel

  32. Assist in management of the culinary and micro kitchen teams

  33. Assist in management, as needed, of various other contractors and track non-critical vendor KPIs

  34. Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the data center

  35. Support set-up, moves, and configuration changes & providing miscellaneous supplies as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of project manager/office manager experience

  2. Experience working independently as well as collaboratively internally, externally and globally

  3. Event planning experience

  4. Budget management experience

  5. Planning, organizing and time management experience across multiple cross-functional spectrums

  6. Experience with Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

  7. Communication and interpersonal experience

  8. Experience in team building

  9. Experience handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of business and management principles

  2. High-level of attention to detail and accuracy

  3. Self-starter and adaptable to a dynamic environment
