Facebook Data Center Site Coordinator in Altoona, Iowa

The Site Coordinator will work very closely with the Data Center Site Manager and the Facilities Manager to ensure all facets of the day-to-day operational needs are met. This is a full-time opportunity in our Altoona Data Center.

Required Skills:

  1. Site Support

  2. Communicate and escalate any issues related to the support functions mentioned here

  3. Support site specific special projects and MPK (Menlo Park) developed projects

  4. Support and coordinate site tours and visits where applicable

  5. Support site development with the Data Center Site Manager and team

  6. Other duties as required by the Site Manager

  7. Activities & Events

  8. Responsible for all employee events (on and/or offsite)

  9. Work directly with the Global Events team on corporate planned events

  10. Support and schedule onsite professional training classes

  11. Support the Site Manager and Community Development Team with community events and media appearances, as needed

  12. Community

  13. Support the Site Manager and Community Development team with community events and media appearances, as needed

  14. Supports the community grants program for your area in collaboration with the Community Development Team

  15. Track and report on local community outreach projects as needed

  16. Coordinate community outreach opportunities for your DC team in collaboration with the Community Development Team

  17. Budgeting

  18. Track local event budget and projects

  19. Track and support satisfaction budget

  20. Track/Action Open (Blanket) PO’s in conjunction with our Supply Chain Operations (SCO) Team

  21. Procurement

  22. Work directly with corporate Procurement Operations to on board and order from various vendors used at the Data Center

  23. Reconcile charges from various expense accounts

  24. Vendor Management

  25. Assist in management of the culinary and micro kitchen teams

  26. Assist in management, as needed, of various other contractors (for example: cleaning team, laundry, landscaping and snow removal, etc.)

  27. Identify with SCO and track non-critical vendor KPIs

  28. Site Support

  29. Ensure the organization and cleanliness of the data center

  30. Support set-up, moves, and configuration changes & providing miscellaneous supplies as needed

  31. Maintain onsite contact lists

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of project manager/office manager experience

  2. Event planning experience

  3. Budget management experience

  4. Planning, organizing and time management experience

  5. Experience with Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

  6. Communication and interpersonal experience

  7. Experience in team building

  8. Experience handling confidential information

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of business and management principles

  2. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

  3. High-level of attention to detail and accuracy

  4. Self-starter and adaptable to a dynamic environment
