Facebook Business Integrity Risk Investigator, Risk and Response in Austin, Texas

The BI Risk Assessment team is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, investigating, and mitigating risks that surface on Facebook's monetized products. This includes areas like Ads, Marketplace, and Buy/Sell groups. We are looking for an investigator to join our team who has a passion for understanding the “why” behind complex problems, and has a demonstrated ability to succinctly communicate these complexities to leadership in a way that drives risk mitigation. Successful candidates default to close collaboration with cross-functional partners, are comfortable with ambiguity, and are always searching out new knowledge and expertise.
Work with partners across the company to understand the risk landscape, maintain focus on priorities, and develop & implement scalable ways to track the progress & impact of our work
Conduct cross-functional investigations to bring deeper understanding and knowledge of potential risk areas to Facebook's ads and commerce surfaces
Perform root-cause analysis to uncover why an adverse event happened & collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Policy, Legal, etc.) to develop scalable solutions to mitigate future risks
Develop or refine frameworks for prioritizing perceived risks that need to undergo deeper investigation
Balance long-term and short-term investigative demands, and potentially manage programmatic and functional needs alongside ongoing investigations
Shape how we approach our investigations and efforts to assess platform-level gaps, i.e. by pressure testing our systems
4+ years experience in investigations, online ads, public policy, press management, internet safety or operations
Analytical-thinking and problem-solving experience
Experience operating strategic projects with cross-functional partners
Experience driving cases through process to resolution
Demonstrated experience influencing across functional boundaries and/or globally
Experience communicating results of analyses with partners and leadership teams to influence strategy
Experience in international internet/social media ads or commerce issues
Experience with tools like SQL and Excel to drive analytics and reporting
