Facebook Project Manager - Legal PMO in Austin, Texas

Summary:

Facebook’s Legal Project Management team is looking for a Project Manager who will provide project management support our team’s growing Legal teams with a focus on project intakes, early scoping, organization, and portfolio management. The Legal Project Manager will also work closely with Legal team members and cross-functional partners to manage and run complex and strategic projects within the Facebook Legal. The ideal candidate will have an ability to see the big picture and incorporates problem solving, critical thinking and tactical execution into their daily work.

Required Skills:

  1. Scope key project ideas with internal partners and leaders for potential PMO engagement

  2. Formulate high level charters, plans, and presentations to support business case/risk mitigation case for leadership consideration

  3. Facilitate requirements gathering and drive creation of integrated project plans and timelines

  4. Lead multiple work streams and/or project teams to execute against project plans

  5. Promote, manage and deliver the continuous improvement of project activities and delivery

  6. Display effective organization skills and manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities

  7. Demonstrate strong capabilities to engage directly with Legal leadership on strategy and be able to pivot to granular detail within working teams

  8. Propose solutions to manage client expectations and manage scope throughout the delivery of the project

  9. Drive standardization of delivery and activities to provide efficient service

  10. Demonstrate sharp attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products to ensure the highest quality deliverables in the allotted timeframe

  11. Integrate and synthesize information from multiple teams, including legal and policy domain knowledge, in order to analyze complex issues, mitigate risks and solve problems

  12. Travel as needed (up to 10% depending on location and assigned projects) and occasionally internationally

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Technology or a related field

  2. 8+ years of program/project management experience

  3. Experience working on compliance, security, investigations, privacy, and/or legal projects

  4. Experience leading departmental and enterprise-wide projects

  5. Experience with process redesign and overall portfolio management

  6. Experience managing stakeholders and cross-functional teams from project initiation through close

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in project management roles within the technology or professional services industries

  2. Knowledge of the regulatory landscape and trends impacting technology companies

  3. PMP, CAPM, or other relevant project management certification(s)
