Required Skills:

Technical Quality Specialist, WhatsApp ProdOps Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as technical expert in our mobile app and a source of information to the rest of Customer Operations team.

  2. Be the representative of quality for products/features, assess risk and formulate test strategies to ensure shipping features with a high quality bar.

  3. Collaborate closely with the engineering team as well as product team in planning and executing functional, regression, verification, and end-to-end release test plans.

  4. Coordinate QA testing and bug bashes with internal resources as well as external third-party vendor team.

  5. Investigate, triage, and escalate issues surfaced from test runs during a feature/product beta and alpha stages.

  6. Define quality metrics and implement measurement to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of our QA effort.

  7. Continuously improve the overall efficiency of the ProdOps QA testing and triaging process, as well as update and evolve team workflow's documentation.

  8. Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.permitted.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 3 years of work experience in job offered or in a computer related occupation. Experience must include 3 years of experience in the following:

  2. Testing and debugging Web or Mobile Applications for iOS or Android

  3. Black Box test planning and execution for both Functional Testing as well as E2E Release Testing

  4. Balancing independent tasks/goals while contributing to team goals and collaborating with other team members

  5. Testing background in at least one of the following: Functional, GUI, Integration, BAT, Black Box, Gray Box, Exploratory, Regression, or Smoke

  6. Testing on Mobile platforms: iOS and Android

  7. Testing on Desktop Operating Systems: Windows, macOS, and Unix/Linux

  8. Testing Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, REST, JSON, and JavaScript

  9. Development methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, BDD, and continuous integration

Public Compensation:

$140,358/year to $148,500/year + bonus + equity + benefits
