Facebook Political and Government Outreach Manager in Brasilia, Brazil

Summary:

Facebook is seeking an experienced leader to manage and execute relationships with governments, politicians and political influencers on how to best use Facebook. This role will serve one of Facebook’s liaisons working with political public figures and their teams, focusing on connecting influencers to the global community in innovative ways. While this position will work globally, most of it’s focus will be in Brazil.The government and politics policy team is an external arm of Facebook and works with the world’s governments and politicians on how to best use Facebook to connect with their constituents.This position is based in Brasília.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage implementation and optimization of trainings on how to use Facebook for governments and politicians.

  2. Be an external representative/expert for Facebook in the international politics and government space.

  3. Work with internal cross-functional teams to build high-impact programs.

  4. Collaborate with partners to develop innovative and high-impact social integrations.

  5. Assist in building and creating collateral on how to use Facebook for government and politics as well as best practices.

  6. Be an internal advocate within Facebook for partners, including with product teams.

  7. Track, analyze and communicate quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to Facebook use amongst governments and politicians

  8. Experience in team management to work across the region

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree with outstanding academic performance

  2. Fluency in English required. Preferably Portuguese as well

  3. 8+ years work experience, with focus on building and implementing digital initiatives and partnerships in the political space such as on campaigns, political committees, media organizations or political organizations.

  4. Strong skills in project management experience, with the ability to lead and handle multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects on deadline

  5. Highly professional communication and presentation skills, and the ability to serve as a spokesperson for Facebook

  6. Demonstrated ability to think strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans

  7. Ability to work effectively and swiftly with all levels of management, both internally and externally

  8. Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
