Facebook is seeking a Director of Agencies and Ecosystem Development to join our Middle East and North Africa (MENA) leadership team. This experienced leader should have demonstrated success managing large business partnerships on a regional and long-term scale.
Ecosystem partners have been central to Facebook's and its clients’ success. Historically we have had long standing and deep partnerships with media agencies, and over recent years have increased our engagement with Creative Agencies while increasing our involvement with consultancies, technology companies and broader ecosystem partners. This role is an opportunity to lead Facebook’s media and creative agency teams in MENA and have a key role in developing our strategy and relationships across the ecosystem with consultancies, technology companies and others. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to design and manage regional and long-term strategic programs with agencies and other partners to optimize for their and our clients’ long-term business results. A self-starter who has demonstrated success, dealing with ambiguity, successfully manage teams and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight, the ideal candidates will have management experience in an agency and/or consultancy environment
This position reports to the Managing Director Middle East and North Africa, works closely with local leadership in driving transformation in MENA and is located in Dubai, UAE.
Lead the MENA ecosystem strategy and drive negotiations with strategic partners across agencies, consultancies, technology companies and other ecosystem players
Lead complex initiatives and deliver scalable development programs to improve ecosystem partners’ experience, expertise and business opportunities with Facebook and its family of apps and services
Drive the growth, adoption and advocacy of media and creative agency holding groups and operating companies
Identify business frictions from the agencies and advertising industry, and more importantly remove the roadblocks with executional strategy
Develop strong C-level relationships within agencies, consultancies, tech companies and other partners
Lead both the Media Agency and Creative Agency Partner teams for MENA
Track revenue performance across the agency portfolio and determine corrective measures where needed
Identify and pitch transformational opportunities that drives behavior change and support regional business growth
Execute local and regional Facebook deals with agencies and partners where applicable
Collaborate with cross channel teams to amplify business and revenue opportunities
Lead the team internally and ensure a focus on organisation design, skills development and career growth
15+ years of Creative/Media agency and/or Consultancy experience at a leadership level, with strong track record related to digital and tech
Significant experience in leading and managing teams to design and execute partnership agreements
Significant people management experience and skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and people not directly reporting to you
Relationships with leaders and top decision makers at agencies and partners
Demonstrates thoughtful risk-taking, challenges the status quo and confidently drives innovation and change for maximum impact with partners
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data into partner value
Proven track record of successfully growing revenue through the development of long-term strategic relationships
Ability to perform well in highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
Able to prioritise and focus managers and team on most impactful opportunities
Demonstrated success as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and systems
Motivates and empowers with optimism and is creative in problem solving
Fluency in English and Arabic are mandatory. French a strong plus.
