Facebook is seeking a Head of Service Industries to join our Middle East and North Africa (MENA) leadership team. This experienced, high calibre leader should have demonstrated success managing large business partnerships on a regional and long-term scale across service-led industries, namely transport & hospitality services, financial services, telecom, media and technology services and other relevant services industries.
The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker with the ability to work cross-functionally to design and manage regional and long-term strategic partnerships with services companies to optimize for and achieve long-term business results. A self-starter who has demonstrated success, dealing with ambiguity, successfully manage teams and problem-solving leadership with limited oversight, the ideal candidates will have executive experience across a number of services industries and/or in a similar tech environment or consultancy.
This position reports to the Managing Director Middle East and North Africa, works closely with local leadership in driving transformation in MENA and is located in Dubai, UAE.
Define and drive Facebook regional business strategy across the Services industries, developing overall client propositions and partnerships while driving Facebook’s revenue impact in the short, mid and long term
Develop strong C-level relationships within clients, identifying and pipelining incremental and business transformation opportunities that drive behavior change and support regional business growth
Lead complex initiatives and deliver high impact development programs to improve services partners’ experience, expertise and business opportunities with Facebook and its family of apps and services
Drive collaboration across the wider ecosystem of partners working with Services clients, identifying business frictions and removing the roadblocks with action-oriented strategies
Track revenue performance across the services industries portfolio and determine corrective measures where needed
Develop, retain and motivate existing team while recruiting for new members and continually raising the bar for talent and capabilities
Drive overall operational efficiency across sales, marketing and business operations
Act as the spokesperson for Facebook at relevant industry events
Collaborate with cross channel teams to amplify business and revenue opportunities
Actively participate in the MENA leadership team and global teams where appropriate, embracing company culture, mission, and strategy
12+ years of Industry, Tech and/or Consultancy experience at a leadership level, with strong track record related to digital and tech
Significant experience in leading and managing teams to design and execute partnership agreements
Significant people management experience and interpersonal skills and work ethic, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and people not directly reporting to you
Relationships with leaders and top decision makers at major regional and international services companies
Demonstrates thoughtful risk-taking, challenges the status quo and confidently drives innovation and change for maximum impact with partners
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data into partner value
Proven track record of successfully growing revenue through the development of long-term strategic relationships, delivering sales targets in excess of company expectations
Ability to perform well in highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
Able to prioritise and focus managers and team on most impactful opportunities
Demonstrated success as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and systems
Motivates and empowers with optimism and is creative in problem solving
Fluency in English
