Facebook Contracts Associate in Dublin, Ireland

Summary:

Facebook is currently searching for an experienced Contracts Associate to be part of the Source2Pay team covering all Indirect Categories in EMEA. The Contracts Associate will prepare and negotiate commercial contracts for various departments within Facebook. This position is located in EMEA headquarters in Dublin, Ireland. This position requires knowledge and experience with European commercial contracts and contractual language. The Contracts Associate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent tight deadlines under minimal supervision. Must be comfortable working efficiently and effectively with both internal clients and external Supplier attorneys/legal teams.

Required Skills:

  1. Prepare, review, evaluate, manage and negotiate a high volume of commercial contracts including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments and related legal agreements

  2. Engage in frequent verbal and written communications with both Facebook’s and Supplier’s legal teams

  3. Liaise with business partners to understand their projects goals, project description and all requirements are accurately reflected in each contract

  4. Structure, draft, and partner on contract negotiations both independently and in collaboration with Sourcing Managers

  5. Responsible for contract administration and entering contracts into Facebook’s contract management tools and from time to time , including educating/training internal clients on same

  6. Act as primary liaison to Facebook Legal, supporting legal strategy, assessing and protecting the business from risk, defining roles and responsibilities

  7. Liaises with cross functional departments such as finance and information security to ensure agreements are in compliance with applicable guidelines and policies

  8. Ensure end-to-end successful completion of the assigned contracts(sometimes includes assisting with approvals or signatures/electronic or wet signatures)

  9. Partner with Legal to influence contract policies to ensure policies and processes scale with changing business requirements

  10. Ensure quality of contracts is maintained and engage in continuous improvement initiatives to work towards building a best in class contract function

  11. Provide strategic business advice to develop efficient, comprehensive, long-term approaches to Facebook relationships with key partners and suppliers

  12. Assist in detailed contract research and reviews, and resolution of issues that may arise in commercial relationships

  13. Manage and respond to a high volume of daily contract-related inquiries

  14. Comfort and experience working across timezones and competing priorities

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. At least 4 years of contract drafting and negotiation experience preferably with a high-tech company

  2. Highly productive, experience multitasking, with the ability to prioritize and manage high volumes of agreements is a must

  3. Knowledge of legal terms and commercial concepts including, but not limited to: IP ownership, licensing and limitation of liability

  4. Experience in negotiating with domestic and foreign suppliers, and both start-up companies and multinational firms

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Similar experience in multi-national business supporting European, Middle-Eastern & African countries

  2. Degree in Law or Paralegal Certification highly regarded
