Facebook Global Facilities Operational Readiness Lead – EMEA Region in Dublin, Ireland

Summary:

Our data centers serve as the foundation upon which our software operates to meet the demands of our customers. The Global Facilities Operational Readiness Lead supports our Data Center Facility Operations teams at our data centers on standardized process and procedural governance for ensuring maximum readiness of equipment and operating systems, developing and implementing asset management processes, assessment of day-today operations, ensuring proper vendor services support, and delivery of other key initiatives. The candidate will need to be experienced in critical operations, process optimization, and program management. This position is full-time and is based in Dublin, Ireland office.

Required Skills:

  1. As a program lead, ensure development and implementation of XFN programs related to Operational Readiness of our data centers

  2. In support of maintenance plans and repair strategies, coordinate with logistics partners to ensure optimal provisioning of parts, spares, and consumables at all data centers to support continual readiness. Ensure scalable solutio

  3. Coordinate day 1 readiness and turnover activities along with site teams and work with site startup teams to ensure the new site teams are trained and onboarded with the latest FacOps processes.

  4. In collaboration with XFN data center teams, support efficient planning of lifecycle maintenance activities and projects that require equipment shutdowns, to minimize impact on redundancy and availability

  5. Ensure consistency and use of best practices across fleet using global standards and processes developed by the global team in DC facility operations, maintenance, EH&S and project controls. This could include coordinating training, supporting site personnel in implementation, etc

  6. Provide for cross communications with counterparts at all data center sites, with the leadership team, and adjacent operating teams to share lessons learned and best practices to improve optimize operational readiness and associated processes and routines

  7. Support assessment of facility operations, review of post incident reports, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans

  8. Support and drive the development and improvement of applicable global standards, tooling and procedures

  9. Ensure consistent process deployment in both legacy as well as new build data centers

  10. Approximately 50% travel required within the region, and occasionally to the US

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors Degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical or industrial) or equivalent technical discipline

  2. 10+ years of experience managing technical or mission critical facility operations

  3. Experience making decisions and work with minimal direction

  4. Track record of thinking strategically and executing tactically

  5. Track record of assertively driving projects to completion with minimal supervision

  6. Experience in root cause analysis, project and program management

  7. Experience providing solutions to large-scale projects

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Advanced degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical or industrial

  2. Experience in managing process and program deployment across multiple facilities and stakeholders

  3. Experience supporting site turnover and startup activities, especially in asset management and material/parts management and operational processes

  4. Experience in interfacing with cross-functional teams for mission critical facility operations, particularly in engineering, inventory and supply chain management

  5. Experience in global operational standards and processes for critical facilities
