Market Operations' focus is on supporting our users and advertisers through both direct support interactions as well as scalable solutions, and on improving the health of our products by helping people understand how to use them in accordance to our Community Standards and advertising policies to keep the platform safe.Those who join our teams are very passionate about solving people’s issues, and are strong advocates for Facebook communities and businesses. As EMEA Market Specialist you are a solution oriented individual, who is passionate about driving changes that bring real impact and providing a great experience for our community and advertisers on the platform. You will work with other teams cross-functionally to review content, uncover risks, identify gaps in policy and process to improve the EMEA platform experience. We're targeting an intellectually curious and creative individual who is comfortable operating cross-functionally and globally — a strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. This position is full time and is based in our Dublin, Ireland office.

Required Skills:

  1. Use market specific knowledge, signals and insights to identify and scope scalable solutions to improve the platform experience in the German market

  2. Investigate and resolve issues that are reported on Facebook such as requests for account support and reports of potentially abusive content including but not limited to graphic images, videos and writings, offensive or derogatory language, and other objectionable material

  3. Gather and analyse relevant data by interpreting reports, dashboards and presentations

  4. Investigate & define clear business problems and prioritize solutions

  5. Identify and lead end-to-end operational improvement opportunities and ensure on-time delivery of critical initiatives

  6. Proactively communicate trends and solutions

  7. Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams through risk assessment and quality assurance to drive projects to success

  8. Develop ways to improve the overall user experience on our platforms by improving our processes, tools and policies

  9. Remain up to date on key workflow changes, operational guidelines, policy updates and our Community Standards

  10. Using market insights, drive qualitative and quantitative analysis to put forward scalable solutions, influence key teams to deliver the change and validate its success post- implementation

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Currently has or is in the process of studying for a Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree

  2. Previous experience within operations, project management, consulting, or equivalent environment

  3. Experience gathering and analyzing data to influence business decisions

  4. Previous professional experience within an operations environment

  5. Experience in a role involving strategic / analytical initiatives (ie: operations, project management, consulting experience, data analysis or technical systems)

  6. Self-starting, intellectually curious and creative individual comfortable operating in a fast paced, ever changing environment

  7. Ability to effectively communicate with complex stakeholders and work in collaboration with teams

  9. Fluency in English and German are essential to business standard

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working and communicating with global teams

  2. Ability to source both internal and external data sets

  3. Experience with or exposure to SQL

  4. Experience working with or in support of diverse communities

  5. Experience in the business analysis of processes, metrics, workflows, or operations

  6. Self-starter with clear ability to work autonomously and remotely
