As Language Manager, Operations, you will drive language operations and processes to help ensure great user experience across all locales. As we work closely with team members in remote offices and regional stakeholders, it is very important that the candidate be comfortable working with remote teams across different time zones.
This is a full-time position based in the Facebook Dublin office.
Triage linguistic queries raised by external linguists and help resolve them by doing internal research and liaising with product teams
Work cross-functionally to drive permanent solutions to recurring issues reported by external linguists
Work closely with Content teams, manage their requests, identify opportunities for process improvements
Support languages not supported by internal language managers or language specialists, collecting and sharing feedback from employees with vendors, and improving processes to accomplish these goals
Help drive onboarding of new linguists and run continuous training programs for all linguists
Help maintain and update educational materials for translation vendors
Help implement education of internal stakeholders on best practices for internationalization
Support operational needs for vendor quality monitoring and escalations
2+ years experience in the localization industry as a localization project manager, language analyst or similar role
BA or equivalent (in a relevant field such as translation, linguistics, communications etc is preferred)
Knowledge of at least one language other than English
Native or near-native fluency in a language other than English
Familiarity with Translation CAT and TMS tools
Familiarity with the Facebook translation platform
Cross-functional collaboration experience
