Our Global Security organization is comprised of multiple teams that work together to support our operations around the globe. Our mission is to keep the things that we value safe and secure while protecting the people, assets, and reputation of Facebook. We protect the people of Facebook by creating a safe and secure environment for our culture to flourish. From buildings and servers, to prototypes and ideas, we ensure Facebook’s physical and intellectual assets are safe and secure and make informed decisions to protect Facebook’s reputation.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced crisis management and resilience expert who has a passion for building and leading programs focused on developing corporate crisis preparedness and protecting an organization’s mission and core assets from severe, negative events. The candidate will lead a global team and be responsible for Global Crisis Management’s planning, training, and exercising program across the regions and enhancing the capabilities of site and regional crisis teams. This is a cross-functional role that will work closely with key partners across Global Security as well as key corporate functions and business segments.
Oversee and manage the implementation of crisis management activities at the site and regional levels to continue to enhance crisis preparedness globally for Facebook
Identify, prioritize and implement crisis management program enhancements and expansion across the sites and regions
Support enhancement of the overall crisis management program and maturing of key program elements to include risk identification & assessment, planning, training, exercising, technology, quality assurance, program awareness, and real-time response
Manage a team providing real-time response support across the sites and regions
Manage program metrics and reporting
8+ years’ experience in crisis management or organizational resilience
Project management skills and experience managing complex projects
Experience delivering training for teams and developing complex multi-team exercises
Experience supporting real-time response to crises or potential crises
Experience exercising judgment and persuasive skills, creativity, and experience working in a dynamic environment
Bachelor’s degree in public policy, political science, risk management, or related discipline
Experience building and leading a crisis management program globally or regionally in a multinational corporation
Experience with crisis communications, stakeholder engagement planning, and reputation management
Familiarity with enterprise risk management principles
Advanced degree in business, policy, or similar field
