Meta Supply Manager, Compute and Storage in Fremont, California

Summary:

We’re seeking a Supply Manager to optimize and manage our AI, Compute, and Storage server supply planning within our Infrastructure Team. The role demands a comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics, proficiency in planning/ERP software, excellent data modeling and analytical skills, and the ability to develop optimized supply strategies to deliver servers and commodities in partnership with various internal and external teams. This individual will communicate complex supply commitments effectively across the organization, develop new KPIs, and pioneer cost-reduction and supply flexibility opportunities. The ability to act decisively and manage projects in a fast-paced environment will be critical to success. This role presents an opportunity for a technically adept individual to drive strategic supply chain initiatives in AI and significantly impact the performance of our operations through advanced analytics and planning.

Required Skills:

Supply Manager, Compute and Storage Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage an optimized server and commodity-level supply plan to support the demand signal. Work closely with our Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) to model production capacity and constraints. Make informed trade-off and allocation decisions when operating in limited material resource environments.

  2. Effectively communicate supply plan commitments to cross-functional and leadership teams, ensuring clear understanding of potential implications.

  3. Collaborate closely with the Commodity Planning team to take inventory positions and maximize supply flexibility throughout our supply chain.

  4. Drive the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) cycle to ensure alignment with overall business objectives, maintaining a seamless process from start to finish.

  5. Source planning-relevant data and information from Demand Planning and Engineering teams effectively, maintain a high degree of organization, and oversee a dynamic New Product Introduction (NPI) process for server development within a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.

  6. Develop and implement a clear-to-build (CTB) tool tailored to efficiently manage commodities at various stages of server production, ensuring seamless supply planning and optimized production workflows.

  7. Utilize Oracle and internal planning tools to manage planning processes. Collaborate with our Enterprise Products team to continually enhance our automation efforts, efficiency, and accuracy in our supply chain operations.

  8. Lead the development of advanced analytics within the team, creating new KPIs/metrics and automated reports to drive business decisions.

  9. Collaborate closely with ODMs in Taiwan through regular weekly video calls, supplemented by several on-site visits throughout the year to foster strong relationships and ensure effective communication and partnership.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Masters degree (or Bachelors plus applicable experience) in business (supply chain, finance, economics) or engineering

  2. 8+ years of experience in supply chain-related roles. Demand, supply, materials, or inventory planning experience.

  3. Technical and analytical skills: Experience building dynamic models using Google Sheets/Excel and creating data visualizations using Tableau, Google Data Studio, or similar software. Additional experience using Apps Script, VBA, Python, and SQL.Technical and analytical skills: Experience creating dynamic models using Google Sheets/Excel, designing data visualizations using Tableau/Google Data Studio, and building supply chain predictive analytics using SQL, Python, Apps Script, and or/VBA.

  4. Proficient using planning tools and ERP software (Oracle, SAP, o9, Kinaxis, Anaplan, or custom build)

  5. Experience in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and data-driven environment while independently managing projects with a bias for action

Public Compensation:

$115,000/year to $170,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
