Facebook is seeking an India based Director of Business Development. This is a unique opportunity to drive key strategic deals on behalf of Facebook Inc, with a focus on our key strategic relationships in the country. Business Development at Facebook is responsible for negotiating partnerships that enhance our product offerings, generate new revenue streams, drive distribution of the Facebook brand online and offline, generate new users for the company, or otherwise add value to the Facebook user experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with strategic negotiations and analysis, along with a highly-attuned product sense. You will be responsible for guiding partnership strategies, defining the right rules of engagement, and helping communicate the value proposition of new Facebook initiatives via the right set of partners. You will work closely with product, engineering, product marketing, and legal, among others, to deliver results. The Business Development team at Facebook is the team the company looks to when big, complex, strategic deals need to be negotiated and closed. This role will be located in our Gurgaon/Mumbai office and will report into our Director & Head of Partnerships, India.

Required Skills:

  1. Evaluate, negotiate, and close key deals that help Facebook achieve its strategic initiatives

  2. Evaluate and explore strategic opportunities

  3. Represent Facebook in meetings with senior executives from other companies

  4. Collaborate with a broad range of internal constituents to help define go-to-market strategy and drive sign-off from internal leadership

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 18+ years’ experience in partnerships, product management, or product marketing in an internet or technology startup environment

  2. Experience working in the market

  3. Facility for identifying key strategic concerns quickly and driving internal stakeholders to a consensus and experience working in large, global software organizations

  4. Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships both inside and outside of Facebook

  5. Deep knowledge of online business models and Internet/consumer technology

  6. Proven track record doing deals, including comfort with the legal aspects of negotiations

  7. Experience successfully navigating a fast-paced, highly ambiguous start-up environment

  8. Entrepreneurial, persistent, and resourceful, with the ability to learn quickly about new technologies

  9. High level of EQ when navigating internally and with partners

  10. Technical background and interest in emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. BS or BA and MBA preferred
