Facebook is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join its APAC Indirect tax team (reporting into the indirect tax lead for APAC) which manages the indirect tax function for India. The position will be based in India (preferably in Gurgaon/Delhi/Hyderabad) and will collaborate and work closely with local and international direct and indirect Tax teams, international and regional accounting and other Finance functions.

Required Skills:

  1. Work closely with the FB tax team to ensure integration with various business functions, bring awareness to the business and support new business initiatives in India

  2. Responsible for indirect tax compliance, work closely with the local finance teams and manage compliance outsource service providers, provide oversight for indirect tax compliance across India

  3. Monitor developments of indirect tax policies in India, work with internal policy team and external advisors supporting tax policy initiatives

  4. Analyze current and proposed tax policy changes, evaluate impacts, develop and execute plans accordingly

  5. Work with finance and other cross-functional teams to implement and improve end-to-end indirect tax process and procedures to mitigate risks

  6. Provide day-to-day operational guidance to business and finance functions and provide end-to-end support to enable products/projects go-to-market

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8 to 10+ years of working experience in related field is required

  2. Degree in law, accounting, or economics and post-graduate in tax or similar is required

  3. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate indirect tax matters succinctly to management

  4. Entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on and a self-motivated personality

  5. Good analytical skills, flexible, creative and results oriented

  6. Enjoys and thrives working with and in a cross-functional team

  7. Some international travels are required

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience with regional indirect tax responsibilities for a large multinational company is preferred
