We are hiring a senior Communications Planning Manager to join the Communications Planning and Media Investment team, which is part of Facebook's Consumer Marketing organization. The team is responsible for communications planning and media strategy for all Facebook consumer-facing campaigns, and we own the relationship with our media AOR for planning and execution. We are looking for candidates with experience in people management, strategic brand planning, direct response, global messaging, full funnel strategy and agency management.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage a team of Communications Planners aligned to Facebook consumer facing brand and product campaigns

  2. Develop measurable media communication plans that align to business objectives, incorporate industry innovation, and leverage appropriate channels (digital and traditional)

  3. Serve as a thought leader within the wider Facebook Brand and Product Marketing teams on topics of communications planning, media strategy, media innovation and measurement

  4. Build and maintain cross-functional relationships at the director and executive level with Marketing, Decision Science, Insights, and Creative teams

  5. Partner with external media agencies and internal buying teams to collaborate on media planning and execution around the globe

  6. Steward the team's development and career growth, and serve as culture leader among the broader Communications Planning team

  7. Guide project management of media work streams and oversee all media deliverables

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years experience in communications planning roles at an agency or within client organisation

  2. 3+ years managing a team

  3. Experience presenting to executive leadership

  4. Experience in navigating cross-functional dynamics

  5. Knowledge of trends and innovation in media, measurement, analytics and research

  6. Experience gathering insights from data and telling a compelling story using those insights

  7. Experience leading the development of full funnel media strategies from inception to launch, as well as communicating the role of individual channels vs. how channels complement each other in a plan

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience managing a media agency

  2. Experience working directly with a creative team to marry creative ideas/strategy with media strategy and channel selection

  3. Experience leading a team in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

  4. Ability to communicate and work effectively with people who have varying levels of expertise
