Facebook seeks a highly motivated and experienced team player to serve as Competition Counsel to the company in Dublin, London, Brussels, or Paris. Working with a talented and supportive team, this position will manage investigations and inquiries related to antitrust matters and help develop the company’s legal position and strategy on competition matters throughout the world. This is an outstanding opportunity for a talented individual to join a growing legal team and work on cutting edge issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment with a broad and challenging remit.

Required Skills:

  1. Represent the company in connection with competition inquiries by regulators across the world

  2. Work with a cross-functional team to develop and implement long-term competition strategy

  3. Help develop and execute our legal strategy in connection with review of mergers and acquisitions by antitrust regulators

  4. Provide teams across the company with counsel and advice on antitrust issues

  5. Retain and manage outside counsel on merger reviews and other antitrust matters

  6. Review and advise on pending and developing competition regulation and developments

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 4-5 years of relevant legal experience, including at a top law firm and/or prior in-house experience with internet or technology companies working on competition matters

  2. Experience representing companies in antitrust inquiries including conduct investigations and merger reviews

  3. First-rate experience developing innovative and pragmatic approaches to complex legal challenges with a proven track record in providing concise and business-focused legal advice

  4. Experience working with web 2.0, social networking, and other Internet and technology companies

  5. Flexibility and eagerness to work on broad range of legal matters across the world

  6. Excellent interpersonal skills with an absolute commitment to professionalism and collegiality

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with global antitrust laws and regulators

  2. English plus another European language
