The Global Client & Category Team is looking for a team-leader and performance brand-builder with deep experience in partnering with the world’s largest and most influential Autos companies to help them grow their businesses. The Category Lead will manage a cluster of Global Autos Clients and the internationally based teams that support them including Global Client Leads and Global Solutions Partners.

The Category Lead will be responsible for delivering against performance metrics for the Auto cluster and for becoming a leading voice across GCC and the broader Global Business Group (GBG) in driving increased in-country client success. The Category Lead will focus primarily on: client and agency partner development; strategic planning and resource allocation; upstream project partnerships and creative and innovation narratives; team and people leadership; operational planning, rigor and effectiveness.

The successful candidate will be curious, a cross-functional team builder, metrics and impact motivated and able to build trusted value-based relationships externally and internally.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead a team of people across Europe and the US tasked with enabling the largest Auto marketers and their agencies to connect and engage effectively with the people who matter to them, everywhere, every-day and on every device

  2. Earn a place as a trusted advisor to our most senior clients by partnering with them to understand their business objectives and help define where and how FB can play a role in achieving them

  3. Provide thought-leadership and mentorship to your team on overall account planning, partnership creation and resource request business cases

  4. Enable your team to create sustainable plans that will enable clients to maximize the business and brand-building potential of the Facebook platform in concert with other marketing channels

  5. Partner with local, regional and global clients/agencies and educate FB HQ and cross-functional partners on resources and tools required to deliver for these clients

  6. Partner with and build trust with Regional and Local teams to ensure global alignment of teams and stakeholders both internally and externally to drive the highest levels of client service and impactful performance

  7. Provide guidance and leadership on deal structures for all global accounts

  8. Collaborate with internal local and cross-functional teams to ensure knowledge transfer, product design and to improve the process and impact of our work with clients

  9. Create, deliver and advise on client and agency presentations and internal POV’s/updates

  10. Actively participate on the leadership team, embrace and contribute to the unique FB company culture, mission, and strategy

  11. Represent Facebook at key client events and in speaking engagements

  12. Develop and invest in a high performing team to help build their careers and drive impact for the business

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 15+ years of work experience in brand marketing, or at creative or media agency

  2. Deep expertise partnering with and building value for global Autos clients

  3. Understanding of digital advertising technology and data/performance measurement trends

  4. Demonstrated understanding of the agency ecosystem and the essentials of media planning and buying

  5. Experience managing teams located in multiple geographies/regions

  6. Experience presenting to C-level executives with an emphasis on translating insights, product information, and data into client value

  7. Ability to forge relationships with marketing decision makers at clients and agencies

  8. A proven track-record of developing high performing leaders and growing their careers and capabilities

  9. Highly collaborative individual with experience influencing and partnering with multiple cross-functional internal teams with varying priorities

  10. Frequent Global and Regional Travel Required
