The Facebook Payments & Commerce Partnership team is looking for an expert in payments and financial services technologies to help us conceive and execute our partnership strategy and drive our efforts to expand the utility of Facebook’s products with finserv partners. This role requires close collaboration with Product teams, Operations team and Legal to nurture and grow new partnership opportunities with companies in this growing space. These opportunities will span the EMEA region and include our largest and most strategic financial services industry partners. You will be responsible for negotiating both externally and internally to close contracts and run full-cycle deals for the Payments & Commerce teams. In order to do so, you will leverage your technical expertise, a strategic perspective on both product and partnership development. You’re very familiar with contractual, technical, and financial issues and you can effectively communicate both up and down the management ladder. You are excited by the challenge of structuring custom agreements and new templates for Financial Services initiatives. Additionally, you enjoy a team-oriented environment, working cross-functionally with the Product, Engineering, Marketing, Operations and Legal teams.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead customized payment services and commerce contract negotiations including technical integration agreement structuring with our partners in key markets

  2. Supervise and drive decision-making on all agreement mechanics, launch partners post-deal, and transition those partners to the partner management teams

  3. Work alongside other payments & commerce partnerships managers to develop a comprehensive set of partners needed for our product launches and drive required RFP/RFI processes

  4. Manage cross-functional teams to identify and creatively solve complex operational, regulatory, and legal issues

  5. Manage maintenance, renegotiation cycles of existing strategic agreements

  6. Ability to travel internationally 20%-30%, depending on project status

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of experience managing and coaching partners, strategizing collaboratively, and structuring and negotiating complex agreements

  2. Experience working with commercial agreements, including creating and negotiating agreements outside of standard sales contracts

  3. Demonstrated cross-functional communication and relationship building experience with technical teams, lawyers, and marketers

  4. Experience in digital payments technology, financial services companies or supporting those product groups

  5. BS or BA Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Engineering, MBA or JD degree

  2. Experience with technology products, especially for platform-based software, in a combination of the following roles: business/partnerships development, engineering and/or product management
