Facebook Analyst, Media Community Development in Los Angeles, California

The Community Development team contributes directly to Facebook’s mission by connecting creators with their audiences, helping them meet their objectives through solutions like Watch, Pages, Videos, Live and Ad Break. We succeed when we help our partners grow their content business. The team is searching for an Analyst to understand and quantify opportunities for delivering value to the media partners on Facebook. This individual will leverage internal and external data sources to improve the team's marketing, process, and product efforts, all with the goal of helping thousands of media partners meet their desired outcomes on Facebook. Ideal candidate is a team player and loves breaking down problems, building solutions, delivering actionable and data-driven insights, and working in a changing environment.

Required Skills:

  1. Work with program managers and marketing to help define strategy, create metrics to evaluate success and measure impact of outreach channels and service models for media partners.

  2. Develop data centric strategies to drive effective programs for media partners across lead acquisition, product engagement and growth education.

  3. Analyze results and make data-driven recommendations for optimization of future programs and campaigns.

  4. Understand partner performance, collaborating with key stakeholders to inform & understand analyses by providing suggestions for best metrics to be used.

  5. Build data pipelines, queries, and reporting from multiple data sources (internal and external) to generate partner dataset for marketing and program managers to leverage.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA or BS degree

  2. 3+ experience with SQL (Oracle, Vertica, Hive, MySQL, etc.)

  3. 3+ years of experience in data analytics roles

  4. Experience working in organizations with cross functional teams

  5. Experience working independently and a track record of taking initiative in dynamic environments

  6. Experience in multi-tasking and adapting well to changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. A/B testing experience

  2. Experience at a consumer technology or media company

  3. Experience in growing scalable programs for Sales or Partnerships teams

  4. Strong presentation and communication skills
