Facebook is seeking a Commercial Music Publishing Partnerships Manager who is passionate about the changing music ecosystem, technology and supporting our goal of connecting people through social media, the mobile eco-system and business strategy. This role will be instrumental in the management of Facebook’s commercial relationships with music publishers and societies, as well as collaboration with our product, operations, and media partnerships teams to ensure a coordinated and best-in-class music publishing partner management structure. The position is full-time and based in Los Angeles, CA or New York, NY.
Support optimization of the health of commercial partnerships with music publishers and societies in North America
Work internally with Facebook teams such as product, partnerships, business development, and operations and externally with music publishing rights holders to ensure a comprehensive music strategy that supports our efforts to make the world more connected on Facebook
Maximize communication, education, data management, ingestion, reporting, payment and partnership growth with music publishers and societies
Be a source of deep insights about the music ecosystem and partners to our executives
Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment
4+ years of experience in music partner management or digital music account management
Digital music experience specific to music publishing rights
Proven track record of excellence in music partnerships, account management for global organizations, and management of music rights data
Proven commercial leadership with business development and operational experience with technology companies
Extensive knowledge of digital business models and technology
Proven track record with high standards of professionalism
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside Facebook
Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized
Excellent communication skills and presentation experience
Ability to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
