Come join us and help grow a world class research team to support our Connectivity Lab team working on developing new platforms and solutions for connectivity.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and exhibit research capability in the areas of digital communications and data analytics. The candidate should have background knowledge in digital communications, including both physical and networking layers. The candidate should have hands-on experience in working with databases, using appropriate tools in Python, SQL, C, C++, Java, or equivalent; preferably the candidate has experience in implementing optimization algorithms for data analytics.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop data analytics tools to understand and quantify the challenges of connectivity in rural areas, using metrics relevant to communication systems performance and deployment.

  2. Interface with multiple connectivity teams to acquire necessary data

  3. Share results internally and externally through means of publications, presentations and blogposts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Ph.D. candidate, MS candidate, or will be going into last year for BS in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field

  2. Programming skills (e.g.: Python, SQL, C, C++, Java, or equivalent).

  3. Interest in working on communication systems in a research and/or development capacity

  4. Ability to obtain and maintain work authorization in the country of employment in 2019

  5. Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship/co-op

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Machine Learning /Artificial Intelligence basics

  2. Background in information theory, communications systems, and optimization
