Facebook Consumer Product Marketing Manager, Facebook Live in Menlo Park, California

We're looking for an experienced Marketer who is passionate about the media landscape and marketing video products to consumers. You will be responsible for informing product strategy, go-to-market planning and execution, and adoption for Facebook Live, Watch Party, Premieres and other interactive video products.

The right person loves flexing between creating cohesive product narratives, cross-functional leadership, and driving impact; can drive both strategy and execution; is analytical and creative; and cares deeply about driving adoption of Facebook interactive video products like Facebook Live. This person is self-starting, can work independently, brings innovation and audience insights to creative development, excels in project management, and can execute flawlessly and with a high quality bar. Most important, this person cares deeply about establishing Facebook as a top-of-mind way for consumers to express themselves and build community through interactive video experiences, and keeps that at the forefront of marketing efforts.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop marketing strategies and plans to achieve consumer product goals.

  2. Develop core product positioning and messaging for key Co-Watching video products and features, considering value proposition, target audience, competitive landscape, and other factors.

  3. Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analysis to influence product strategy and inform positioning, go-to-market plans, creative assets, and campaigns.

  4. Create go-to-market plans, leading and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (including product, partnerships, PR, legal/policy, and others) to determine effective launch strategy, including rollout sequencing, creative asset development, and communication goals to best drive awareness, adoption, and engagement.

  5. Plan and lead successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels to efficiently drive product awareness, adoption, engagement, and retention.

  6. Lead and collaborate with internal and external creative teams to bring marketing campaigns, programs, and assets to life across channels.

  7. Author and review public-facing communication, such as blog posts and collateral.

  8. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader Facebook ecosystem and competitive landscape to develop strategic product feedback and positioning.

  9. Tackle complex problems with a strategic mindset and create thoughtful recommendations and action plans for solving those problems. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of consumer product marketing experience

  2. Bachelor's degree

  3. Communication experience, experience communicating across functions (e.g., creative teams, legal, marketing, ops)

  4. Experience working independently

  5. Experience tackling problems with a strategic mindset and create recommendations and action plans for solving those problems

  6. Consumer marketing experience and experience gathering customer insights and translating them into marketing strategies and execution

  7. Experience in and demonstrated campaign performance across marketing channels, such as video ads, paid social, mobile, rich media, connected TV environments, and third-party partner channels

  8. Experience in the consumer video landscape and drivers of consumer video consumption habits

  9. Analytical and problem-solving experience

  10. Experience managing agencies for workstreams and deliverables as well as working with marketing cross-functional teams, including creative, research, analytics and media

  11. Knowledge of mobile, web, cutting edge technologies, and the consumer video landscape both in the U.S. and internationally

  12. Cross-functional leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA degree

  2. Experience in marketing new products for internet/consumer tech companies

  3. Comfort with ambiguity and in working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment

  4. Balance of creative and analytic thinking, putting forth best-in-class execution within a measurable and data-driven framework
