Facebook Consumer Product Marketing Manager, Payments in Menlo Park, California

We are looking for a product marketer who is knowledgeable and passionate about the two sided payments market, mobile commerce, and launching products successfully. The ideal candidate understands the payments and commerce space for both consumers and merchants, including different market dynamics, competitive landscape, and most importantly, how to positively impact consumer sentiment and drive new behavior. She or he must have experience effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results and developing and executing against global launch plans that bring relevant products to market. This candidate will be expected to push the boundaries of what's possible in marketing, while sharing in our healthy obsession for quality. This is a full-time position based at Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop and implement co-marketing strategies with leading financial services partners with emphasis on driving consumer and merchant awareness and engagement with payment experiences.

  2. Develop 6-month marketing strategy and plan to achieve consumer product goals, with emphasis on driving Consumer awareness, usage, and retention.

  3. Develop 6-month marketing strategy and plan to achieve merchant acquisition product goals, with emphasis on driving merchant awareness, usage, and retention.

  4. Define and manage go-to-market strategy and plan including positioning, policy, launch strategy, PR.

  5. Establish clear KPIs for your programs and own relationship with analytics to ensure impactful testing agenda and measurement plan in place. Be accountable for reviewing program results to ensure continued improvement of marketing programs.

  6. Contribute to global market assessment, quantitative analysis, qualitative feedback, and represent the market internally with Product Management and Engineering, with a focus on the intersection of Customer needs and adoption of payments products.

  7. Lead cross-functional efforts to drive successful product alpha and beta programs and launches for consumers, globally.

  8. Plan and lead successful marketing campaigns to efficiently drive product awareness and adoption, including creative asset development and media planning.

  9. Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader payments ecosystem and competitive landscape to develop strategic product feedback and positioning, with focus on consumers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years experience in a corporate or startup environment.

  2. 5+ years experience working in a Consumer Product Marketing and or Consumer Marketing capacity (partnered with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements and with cross-functional partners to drive product launch strategy and ongoing lifecycle/engagement marketing).

  3. Experience in Payments/Financial Services, partnering with product and cross-functional teams to identify and bring to market solutions with consumer and merchant benefit.

  4. Experience collaborating with and executing co-marketing programs with partners.

  5. Experience developing consumer and merchant marketing strategies and translating those strategies into actionable plans.

  6. Experience constructing strategy and creative briefs, providing feedback and delivering engaging creative with stories.
