Facebook Core Tech Technical Program Manager in Menlo Park, California

Our Core Tech team explores, develops, and delivers new cutting-edge technologies that serve as the foundation of current and future AR/VR products. From mixed reality and human interaction to natural inputs, and the goal to render and present the world in new and exciting ways and beyond, Core Tech is focused on taking new technologies from early concept to the product level while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.

As the Core Tech Technical Program Manager, you will be pivotal in helping to shape the technology roadmap, connecting the technology to customers with the end state of realizing it in user experiences in Facebook’s family of AR/VR platforms and products. This is a highly cross-functional role. The ideal candidate is someone who is experienced in software new technology delivery and productization, and is passionate about applying it to discover new user experiences on AR/VR platforms.

Required Skills:

  1. Work with engineering teams to help establish roadmap and develop schedule with focus on execution and delivery.

  2. Manage cross-functional partnerships and serve as the conduit for communicating capabilities and requirements gathering.

  3. Work with engineering teams to establish processes to enable growth and scalability.

  4. Proactively identify technical, legal, process, logistical, and communication issues and drive creative solutions to fix them and manage risk.

  5. Contribute to the development of next generation first party hardware devices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS in Computer Science, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

  2. 6+ years experience as a technical program manager in new software development and delivery.

  3. Communication experience and experience working with technical teams and communicate to non-technical partners.

  4. Problem-solving experience and organizational experience.

  5. Interpersonal experience, including relationship building and collaboration within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working on consumer electronics products.
