Facebook AR/VR’s organization is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to support our developer marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B or developer marketing at a fast-paced company and will be able to communicate how and why our variety of products can provide meaningful value to developers. He or she must be driven and have a relentless focus on growing and bringing awareness to developer tools and services offered by Facebook, including Assistant, VR, or AR.
This person understands different market dynamics, the competitive landscape, and technology trends across the Internet of Things, Voice Assistant, or Immersive experiences - AR/VR. The ideal candidate will know how to positively impact developer sentiment and drive new behavior, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams for brand building, product positioning, and creative marketing. The ideal candidate will be creative and display strong communication and organizational skills. This is a full-time position based at Facebook’s office in MPK.
Develop programs to improve the overall experience for developers building websites and apps for our ecosystem
Drive developer proficiency and skills through the creation and management, of educational content, events, and programs
Organize and coordinate plans and materials for key events such as F8 and Oculus Connect, developer and industry conferences, as well as regional events such as hackathons, boot camps, and workshops
Represent developers with Product Management and Engineering, and provide direction on messaging, branding, product positioning and planning leading to successful product adoption
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the market landscape and developer ecosystem and emerging technologies. Leverage understanding of developer needs to create and execute go-to-market plans
Conduct competitive and market research to garner insights that help drive strategic decisions and product roadmaps – from market assessment and quantitative analysis to positioning
Author developer-facing communications to build awareness and user sentiment for our developer-facing products - such as blog posts, guides, keynote presentations, and more
Focus on outbound marketing efforts to drive product awareness and adoption – develop events, craft presentations, run campaigns, and more
Manage and work with cross-functional teams (including PR, social, design, product and engineering stakeholders) to deliver world-class marketing communications
8+ years experience in Marketing or Product Management in Internet and/or technology
Knowledge of web and mobile apps, emerging technologies, open source, and the developer and industry landscapes
Experience partnering with agencies, Product Management, and Engineering organizations
Experience communicating with a variety of audiences, including both technical and consumer
Analytical, communication, and time management skills
Experience communicating concepts
Project management experience
MBA or other relevant advanced degree
Management Consulting and/or technical background
Comfort with a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
