Facebook Developer Relations Specialist in Menlo Park, California


As a member of the Oculus Developer Relations team, you work with the most creative and innovative developers and publishers in the VR industry. You’ll play a vital role in further building our community of committed and successful VR developers. You will be a key member of our team, managing partners from build submission to launch to ongoing updates and long-term success on the Oculus Store. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Store, Marketing & Communication, Events, and Product teams to ensure our developers find the highest level of success and that our consumers are thrilled with the caliber of content found on Oculus platforms.

Required Skills:

  1. Enable and support developers of all types to deliver the world’s highest quality virtual reality experiences

  2. Evangelize new and existing VR technologies with developers, to ensure they are able to take full advantage of ongoing enhancements and improvements

  3. Champion the needs of developers in the development of Oculus products

  4. Setting goals, objectives and success metrics for key accounts

  5. Work with our Data Analytics teams to provide insights and intelligence in support of our partners, and identify new areas and opportunities for growth

  6. Translate developer needs to internal product teams, and be an outward-facing advocate for Oculus-driven platform initiatives with our partners

  7. Track and supervise game end-to-end lifecycles, ensuring content meets the rigorous Oculus technical and quality standards

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS Degree or equivalent games industry specific experience in Game Production, Business, Economics, Marketing or other equivalent experience.

  2. Knowledge of general development pipelines for games.

  3. Experience providing customer support and mentoring.

  4. 3+ years of responsible business development and/or commercial experience within the entertainment, global electronics, technology/platform based business.

  5. Knowledge of the relationship between global development and publishing teams.

  6. Experience communicating with challenging B2B customers as well as an array of departments including Legal, Finance, and Marketing.

  7. Business development experience.

  8. Project management experience, with experience leading multiple cross-discipline tasks.

  9. Entrepreneurial experience.

  10. Knowledge of the games development process.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. A passion for games and content in VR

  2. Game development experience

  3. Experience of working for a Games or Other Entertainment Platform or service or third-party video-games Publisher/Developer

  4. A great sense of humor and candor with co-workers

  5. Flexible and entrepreneurial spirit in a rapidly evolving technology space

  6. A highly enthusiastic, driven and motivated person who is results oriented and has worked in a cross-collaborative environment
