Facebook Developer Support Engineer in Menlo Park, California


We're looking for an experienced person to join our Developer Ecosystem team focusing on one-to-many support for Oculus developers. As a Developer Support Engineer, you will be managing the day-to-day and ongoing issue management for developers via the Oculus support channels with a focus on ultimately providing scaled solutions to challenging technical issues. The ideal candidate is versed across a wide spectrum of the technology, preferably having experience contributing to developer-oriented programs and approaches.

Required Skills:

  1. Become experienced in Oculus products and solutions, our developers and their needs by providing effective technical consultation

  2. Work directly with developers to resolve technical issues

  3. Manage technical and product issues and escalations, delivering the highest level of developer satisfaction

  4. Help scale developer support aligned with developer ecosystem growth

  5. Engage with the operations and engineering teams to build, drive and improve our tools and processes

  6. Build product insights from developer experience and work with cross-functional partners to take appropriate action

  7. Deliver data-driven, impactful results

  8. Attend events/conferences representing the developer support team

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent degree and experience)

  2. Development experience with Unity or Unreal

  3. 1+ year of customer or developer support experience

  4. Experience communicating with a ranger of developer-facing audiences

  5. Experience problem solving with analytical approach

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience developing games or applications
