Facebook Finance Manager, Network+FBC in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

In this role, you will join a team that manages the finances for Facebook’s connectivity initiatives which include Edge Network infrastructure and FB Connectivity. The Edge Network group is responsible for scaling our network for more than 2 billion monthly active users. Facebook’s rapid growth is driving an unprecedented increase in our global network footprint as we strive to reach more people with an expanding product portfolio while improving both performance and reliability. Required Skills:

  1. Key contributor to financial planning and reporting for key teams – including monthly close, quarterly reporting/forecast, and annual budget cycles

  2. Coordinate with Accounting and business partner teams to identify accruals and contractual commitments for Month End and Quarter End close process

  3. Build financial models for long-range planning and evaluation of Network & Connectivity investments

  4. Drive process improvements and analytical projects, including development of financial dashboards and metric scorecards

  5. Review purchase requisitions and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial plan

  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams - Tax, Accounting, IT, Operations, and Business Development to provide end-to-end financial support

  7. Deep dive into data to find meaningful insights and trends

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years financial analysis experience from a technology company, investment bank, consulting firm, and/or Big 4 Accounting

  2. Experience using Excel and financial reporting software (e.g. Oracle/Essbase) to maintain reporting packages on an ongoing basis

  3. Experience building and managing relationships with business partners and other cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent

  2. MBA or master’s degree

  3. Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and FP&A skills

  4. Network and/or Telecom experience

  5. Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and unstructured problems
