Facebook Internal Communications Manager, Diversity and Learning in Menlo Park, California

We are looking for a strategic and creative professional to lead our employee communication efforts for our global Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) and Learning & Development (L&D) teams. Our D&I team builds strategies to recruit and retain diverse talent while building an inclusive internal community. Our L&D team builds programs that enable learning connections to strengthen each person's contribution to Facebook and our company's performance. The person in this role will develop employee communication and internal marketing strategies that improve the understanding and engagement of our key priorities for these teams. The role will partner closely with the D&I and L&D teams, as well a wide range of cross-functional teams involved in these important company-wide priorities.
Set the vision and strategy for internal communications and internal marketing strategies for the D&I and L&D teams
Builds and executes complex communication plans for the D&I and L&D teams, and measures overall effectiveness
Consult with cross-functional colleagues on their communication and change management strategies
Understand the unique needs of the D&I and L&D teams (goals, programs, tools, process) in order to produce effective and relevant communication and/or marketing strategies
Provide proactive and reactive messaging for key initiatives, program rollouts, and internal discussions
Maintain communications calendars and coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement consistent communications across Facebook
Partner closely with other internal and external teams to align on communication opportunities
8+ years experience in communications, marketing, consulting or human resources
Experience turning information into engaging, timely and valuable content for various employee audiences
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and working autonomously
Experience identifying communication issues and solving problems using judgement and analysis, providing communication guidance and support
Experience working collaboratively and building cross-functional relationships
Experience with diversity communications and/or marketing
Passion for diversity and/or learning & development
Experience with executive communications
Post-graduate or professional degree
