Facebook Legal Analyst, Competition in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

The Facebook Competition Legal team is looking for a talented, driven and highly organized individual to support our Competition team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting basic research about the industry landscape and technology sector, preparing analysis of various industry developments and products/services, and tracking, organizing and distributing information within our legal and cross-functional teams. You should have an ability to organize large amounts of information and work with internal and external stakeholders to keep research and analysis materials accurate and up to date.

The ideal candidate would exhibit the ability to maintain a high-level of organization, attention to detail, and judgment for prioritization and execution in a fast-paced environment. Required Skills:

  1. Work closely with our legal and policy teams to understand relevant research and analysis needs and priorities

  2. Develop and execute project plans to address those needs using public research materials

  3. Compile research findings and prepare clear, informative reports and presentations

  4. Lead ad hoc projects with cross-functional team members

  5. Act as point of contact for knowledge management projects involving internal and external partners on competition matters

  6. To enhance internal knowledge resources, engaging lawyers and encouraging the use of knowledge systems and resources

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree

  2. 1+ years of experience in research full-time

  3. Organizational experience

  4. Experience checking content

  5. Experience working independently on day-to-day work as well as in a team environment

  6. Experience with Google Docs, MS Office applications, and other collaboration and productivity tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in economics, business, public policy, or related disciplines

  2. Experience working on legal or public policy teams conducting basic research

  3. Project management experience
