Facebook Manager, Privacy Program Implementation in Menlo Park, California

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented, driven and analytical individual who will join the new implementation and program management function in Privacy team to coordinate company-wide efforts focused on improving practices and priorities around user privacy. The person in this role will partner closely with the team lead to design and establish new project management office, including building a clear view of key milestones and deliverables needed for the FTC order compliance, design business cadence and effective channels to co-ordinate across multiple teams and developing right progress reports to track against key deliverables. This is a new team with lots of opportunity to shape right strategy and structures for project management office. The ideal candidate will be passionate about working on complex cross-company wide problems, be intellectually curious and be able to work independently in an ambiguous and dynamic environment. This is a full-time position based in Menlo Park.

Required Skills:

  1. Champion the overall implementation plan related to FB’s FTC Consent order (and current and future similar Privacy directives) including deeply understanding order requirements and associated technical and operational work required across company to comply

  2. Cultivate strong relations with POCs from all implementation workstreams including Product, Engineering and Legal and collaborate with them to document and communicate key deliverables required and progress against them

  3. Build and lead operational cadences required across technical and operational teams to coordinate work

  4. Project manage and prioritize work based on urgency and complexity

  5. Support in cross-team initiatives across Privacy teams (e.g. change management)

  6. Prepare communication materials and progress tracking for multiple audiences including supporting material for FB executives and Board of Directors

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 4+ years of work experience in consulting, business operations, technical program management or other operational discipline

  2. Experience running project management or program management initiatives (e.g. organization-wide initiatives, large scale integration management)

  3. Experience communicating with technical and business stakeholders

  4. Communications experience with experience simplifying concepts and developing outputs

  5. Track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive results

  6. Problem solving experience

  1. Ability to set priorities, multi-task and work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace

  2. Demonstrated ability to orient towards solutions in the context of competing perspectives
