Summary:

Facebook is looking for a Marketing Lead, Experiences to lead global marketing efforts for our corporate brand. This role sits within the newly formed Facebook corporate marketing team, which is responsible for developing compelling, coherent and integrated narratives and campaigns across the five brands (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Oculus) to drive trust and value.

The Marketing Lead for Experiences will lead a team to develop and execute on the Experiences marketing strategy, bringing the brand to life through unique offline events and experiential programs that celebrate the people who use our products everyday. The successful candidate must be an experienced creative and insights-driven marketer with proven ability to lead strategic efforts across our dynamic, complex organization and deliver tangible, impactful results. The lead will be responsible for stakeholder management to ensure alignment across the apps leads and, as needed, the entire company. In addition, internal communications management is critical to ensure the entire company is aware of and understands the work as in some cases, the programs run by this team set the company narrative for the year.

Your focus will be to continually earn trust and value through consistent transparency and engaging storytelling.

This is a full-time management position that will be based in our headquarters in Menlo Park or San Francisco.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead the Experiences corporate marketing team

  2. Develop and execute an innovative global Experiences marketing strategy, across the product ecosystem for the consumer audience

  3. Create a calendar of offline events and programs throughout the year that bring the brand to life including industry, owned and cultural events

  4. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Marketing, Communications, Product, Design and Partnership stakeholders) to deliver cohesive narratives and integrated marketing moments

  5. Partner with internal and external creative agencies to develop innovative and buzzworthy creative

  6. Inform and influence product strategy and go-to-market plans, leveraging quantitative and qualitative insights

  7. Deliver clear and compelling presentations of strategies and ideas to inform and/or align executive stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years brand marketing, marketing communications and events experience

  2. Leadership and people management experience

  3. Experiential marketing, Product Marketing and/or Communications experience

  4. Experience building integrated marketing campaigns that deliver business results

  5. Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to build and execute events and programs

  6. Experience collaborating in matrixed organizations across varied stakeholders internally and externally

  7. Proven experience engaging and leading executive level discussion and decisions

  8. Bachelor’s degree
