Summary:

The Privacy & Data Use (PDU) Project Manager will partner with team members, including engineering and policy, to build programs designed to solve Facebook's toughest problems. The project manager is data driven, seeking to discover and implement innovative solutions that solve complex problems with both sustainability and scalability in mind. Successful PDU project managers have a bias toward action, finding connections where none exist, and are able to quickly build rapport across teams to identify and execute on a common goal.

You will support the PDU team which is composed of experts in product and policy, working with engineers to address privacy and data use challenges at scale by implementing privacy principles, processes and tools across the company. You will play a pivotal part in a growing cross-functional organization tackling some of the hardest problems in the privacy space.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead project/program planning, coordination, prioritization, and communication with stakeholders to enable project execution.

  2. Help define the roadmap and long-term strategy of team projects and programs.

  3. Develop and manage end-to-end program plans and ensure on-time delivery.

  4. Identify dependencies and develop mitigation strategies.

  5. Document, track and report relevant program metrics and milestones.

  6. Help drive data use decisions to align with higher company initiative.

  7. Effectively communicate needs and insights to different levels of cross-functional audiences.

  8. Incorporate feedback and interpret results in a fast-paced ambiguous environment, adapting quickly.

  9. Help define and enforce best practices and alignment with privacy framework and operations.

  10. Contribute to continuously improving processes and procedures around the review of how Facebook products use and share data.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years of project/program management experience.

  2. Organizational, communication, project management, and interpersonal experience to work with cross-functional partners, including software engineering teams.

  3. Experience building metrics and measurements for the purpose of reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  2. Experience in a web/internet start-up environment.
