Summary:

The Portal team is building products that make it easier for people to connect with the ones they love most. We are a team of world-class experts developing and shipping products at the intersection of hardware, software, and content. Join the Portal security team as a Security Engineering and help us design and build world class security controls into category defining devices! In this role, you will provide security expertise to engineering and review activities, help drive and manage security programs, and utilize engineering skills to help design and validate security solutions that keep our users and business safe.

Required Skills:

  1. Help review and design systems that enhance the security of Portal products application software and infrastructure

  2. Help review and design systems related to abuse detection and integrity

  3. Collaboratively drive security incident response and vulnerability management

  4. Contribute to security engineering planning and execution

  5. Verify and validate application software security via manual and automated testing, fuzzing, and static code analysis

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Computer Science or related field

  2. Experience with one or more core security concepts:

  3. Linux/Android OS and platform security experience

  4. Application security concepts

  5. Operating systems security concepts

  6. Authentication, authorization, and identity systems

  7. Secure coding practices

  8. Network and web security protocols such as TLS, IPSec etc.

  9. 2+ years of industry experience designing, implementing, verifying, and/or reviewing security-related items

  10. Experience in security focused design, development, and/or architecture

  11. Experience analyzing and auditing Android and application code (Java, JavaScript, C/C++, etc.)

  12. Experience scripting and coding to implement and/or verify security solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of industry security experience

  2. Masters in Computer science or related field

  3. Technical security conference presentations, publications, or other indicators of recognized security expertise

  4. 3+ years of industry security code review experience

  5. Experience in security engineering solutions across the device and services technology stack

  6. Experience articulating and advocating for technical security solutions across functional domains

  7. Experience with applied cryptography

  8. Experience with device security concepts, including: secure boot, virtualization,

  9. Experience with key management systems and concepts

  10. Experience with ARM-based embedded systems

  11. Experience coding in Python, C/C++, Java, JavaScript, or shell scripting languages

  12. Experience with browser security concepts and controls

  13. Experience with PHP, HACK, HHVM, and WWW backend
