The connectivity team focuses on fulfilling our mission for the 2/3 of the world's population not yet online. Most of our work focuses on reaching unconnected and under-connected consumers in emerging markets throughout Asia, Africa, and Latin America - either directly or by working with our local partners. As a Product Marketing Manager working on Connectivity, you'll be responsible for driving strategy, positioning, and messaging for our suite of products aimed at consumers in these markets. You'll also be responsible for developing and launching campaigns designed to increase adoption, retention, and advocacy among these consumers.This is a full-time position based at Facebook headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
Influence product strategy and in-product experiences with consumer and market insights.
Own the development of the core value proposition, positioning, and messaging for products aimed at emerging market consumers.
Create and execute go-to-market plans to launch new products and achieve business goals.
Develop launch strategy, including rollout plan, creative asset development, and communication goals to best drive awareness, engagement, and advocacy.
Scope and execute campaigns designed to drive adoption and engagement aligned with core product metrics.
Craft & develop compelling audience-specific messages and programs (product videos, customer success stories, demos, presentations, etc.).
Partner with internal creative teams and external agencies to deliver creative and communications.
Be the expert in the product's target audiences, representing the voice of users to internal teams.
Work across cross-functional teams such as product management, engineering, design, data science, research and others to achieve business goals.
6+ years of experience in marketing with a consumer focus
Knowledge in expanding connectivity and internet access to people around the world
Experience in the Internet and/or technology industry
Analytical and problem-solving experience
Experience with launching products
Experience partnering with and influencing Product Management and other internal teams
Project management experience
Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Marketing or related discipline
MBA or advanced degree
Experience marketing to consumers in emerging markets
Experience working with partnerships and/or co-marketing initiatives
Experience with direct response/acquisition-focused marketing
