Facebook Product Marketing Manager, Events Product in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

With Facebook Events, our mission is to help people spend time together in the real world. We're looking for a growth and brand focused Product Marketing Manager, Events Product who is passionate about bringing people together offline through Facebook Events and helping people discover and connect to Events that matter to them. The role would cover multiple facets of the events ecosystem – from driving intentional usage of FB for local events discovery via the new Events tab/bookmark, driving an inventory growth strategy to acquire the events people want to go to, developing strong narratives and consumer value propositions, to building out new programs + channels to drive greater awareness of FB Events globally, and ultimately driving attendance to events on Facebook.The right person is a self-starter who loves working alongside cross-functional teams to develop consumer focused initiatives that helps drive product adoption. They would be responsible for thoughtfully understanding consumer needs, identifying market opportunities through research and analytics, developing best in class marketing programs, and driving measurable results. The ideal person has excellent marketing intuition, a strategic mindset, and thrives on crafting and executing impactful marketing programs.

Required Skills:

  1. Inspire consumers globally to use Facebook Events through seamless product launches and direct-to-consumer marketing with impactful, scaled results.

  2. Develop actionable research and data-driven insights to inform product and marketing strategy.

  3. Develop strong messaging and narratives, authoring and managing internal and external communication channels.

  4. Create and execute marketing strategies and campaigns that drive consumer awareness and adoption of the Events product.

  5. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (including Product, Research, Analytics, PR, Design, engineering stakeholders and more) to deliver world-class product marketing programs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. 5+ years working in a Consumer Product Marketing capacity (partnered with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements and with cross-functional partners to support product launches)

  3. Experience partnering with product & cross functional teams to identify and bring to market solutions with Consumer benefit

  4. Experience problem solving and tackling problems with a creative mindset, creating recommendations and action plans for solving those problems

  5. Project management experience, with experience developing and executing marketing strategy

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA

  2. Successful track record of planning and rolling out large-scale/global marketing campaigns
