Summary:

Facebook seeks an experienced product marketer passionate about bringing people together and helping businesses grow to join the Business Product Marketing team for Events. Events team is building free, simple tools that help businesses create and manage their events on Facebook as well as sell tickets to the events directly on Facebook. The Business Product Marketing function serves as the bridge between the Product team and the market — serving as the voice of the businesses early in product development, and later leading GTM/launch and marketing strategy.

The person in this role will help define and launch solutions for event organizers, for example tours on Facebook, event ticketing solutions etc. for all event organizers. The ideal candidate for this role will be a strong problem solver who can identify key market opportunities, translate into product requirements and establish go-to-market strategies that unlock those opportunities. We're looking for someone who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive results, and has experience developing and executing launch plans on a large, global scale. Ideally, this candidate will have prior experience in events and/or entertainment vertical and can represent the point of view of the event organizers (from small music venue to Beyonce concerts).

This is a full-time position located in our Menlo Park office.

Required Skills:

  1. Represent the voice of the event organizers on the product team, including qualitative and quantitative feedback from clients and partners

  2. Lead market research, competitive benchmarking, customer segmentation, opportunity assessment, etc. to inform product development and prioritize product opportunities

  3. Collaborate and build relationships with other teams across FB Inc. to both inform product development as well as drive product adoption

  4. Plan and lead cross-functional efforts to drive product alpha/beta tests and launches

  5. Drive product adoption and usage by developing and managing adoption plans with Partnership and Product teams

  6. Lead go-to-market strategy and partner with outbound marketing and Sales to create product marketing communications, including press releases, blog posts, sales/partner communications, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree

  2. 4+ years of work experience in fields such as strategy consulting, brand management/digital marketing, ad operations, investment banking/venture capital, and/or analytics

  3. Communications experience, including experience simplifying concepts and developing presentations

  4. Cross-functional experience including experience collaborating with partners and managing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA

  2. Experience in Events or Entertainment vertical

  3. Experience working in product marketing or product management (working closely with product team and/or sales)
