Summary:

Facebook seeks an experienced product marketer who is skilled in early stage product development, video content acquisition and revenue monetization strategies. This position will enable an individual with a “general manager” mindset to refine product market fit by shaping feature roadmaps and growth execution to build significant revenue streams for digital publishers, media companies and creators with global scale.

The focus of this role will be defining product and industry requirements for new content partner-facing features, driving adoption and optimizing performance of these video ad features. Such products include Ad Breaks (i.e. in-stream or pre-roll advertising formats) and other revenue sharing models, video viewing experiences and surfaces in the Facebook platform such as Live Video and the Watch tab. You will have direct access to become a thought partner to influential product thinkers in the company and deliver product solutions to the leadership team in the video and media industry.

The successful candidate is both data-driven and has the ability to synthesize market trends in video content and related business models, and can effectively work with product managers and technical counterparts to build these new features. This product marketing role is focused on strategy functional deliverables to shape inbound intelligence. This work includes synthesizing market needs by segment, opportunity sizing, gathering deep feedback from internal and external stakeholders, being the “voice of the publisher” and running alpha and beta testing processes. Outbound product marketing responsibilities include leading growth campaigns, launch planning and roll-out across both direct and scale channels in dozens of countries. This role is highly cross-functional and will work closely with the Product, Engineering, Media Partnerships, Operations and Marketing teams.

This is a full-time position based in Menlo Park California.

Required Skills:

  1. Drive data-driven product strategy bridging short-term execution excellence with long-term vision

  2. Identify opportunities and represent voice of the video content partners by conducting market sizing, segment analysis, industry research, including deep quantitative, qualitative and competitive analysis - financial analysis and business case skills are required

  3. Analyze product performance, synthesize customer/partner feedback and advocate feature improvements (including new A/B testing to prove incremental impact)

  4. Quarterback go-to-market efforts globally to support product launches and scaled adoption

  5. Manage comprehensive, cross-functional business development activities including betas, positioning, policy, legal, product documentation and collateral

  6. Partner with the Product Management, Media Partnerships, Engineering, Sales, Communications and other key teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years experience with 3+ years working in a product marketing, management consulting, product strategy or equivalent function (partnered with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements)

  2. BA/BS degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with digital video/publishing and monetization models both in the U.S. and globally

  2. Media experience including understanding of mobile consumer platforms' impact on video distribution both in the U.S. and globally

  3. Quantitative analytical ability and ability to derive intuition around complex data signals with SQL and has self-serve data modeling skills

  4. Consulting and/or investment banking experience

  5. Flexibility and hunger to thrive in a fast-paced and iterative sprint model environment with a high ownership mindset to deliver measurable impact

  6. Scrappy, creative, resourceful, action and detail-oriented, highly organized
