Facebook Product Strategic Partner Manager, Community Partnerships in Menlo Park, California


Facebook is seeking to grow its Community Partnerships team with an experienced Product SPM (Strategic Partner Manager) to scale and optimize our team’s global processes to support community leaders in leveraging Facebook platform to build impactful communities on and offline. The Community Partnerships team's mission is to empower community leaders to start, grow and sustain meaningful communities around the world. The team serves community leaders to understand and address their needs in sustaining and strengthening their communities. We succeed when community leaders thrive.This person will act as the link between the needs of our partners and the capabilities that can be built in product. Specifically, he/she will audit, improve and scale the team’s operational processes to incubate new product initiatives, translate partner needs into actionable insights to inform product strategy, set up ongoing communication streams with our global partners and generally build new experiences to ensure our partners are successful and recognized for the impact they drive. Through operational rigor, this person will also work cross-functionally across different teams, including product, marketing, and research to help shape our products and inform strategy on approaches to new partnerships opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and curiosity for innovative social products and their potential for transforming communities.This position will be located in our office in our Menlo Park office.

Required Skills:

  1. Improve and execute global processes to collect and synthesize product feedback from our partners across all regions and programs and translate this feedback into high-quality insights to inform product development across a variety of product teams

  2. Effectively communicate relevant insights to cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Operations and Research) to influence and drive their roadmap prioritization, leveraging data and insights to develop solutions at scale at all stages of the product life cycle

  3. Set up robust, scalable solutions to support early stage product testing of multiple product features amongst a large set of community leaders

  4. Establish an ongoing cadence of partner communication and outreach

  5. Partner with strategic planning and operations team to develop sound analysis and impact metrics to synthesize trends in the ecosystem coupled with insights from partners to identify future strategic initiatives/investment priorities for the team

  6. Identify growth initiatives, synthesize trends in the ecosystem and couple these with insights from partners

  7. Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams, including Product, Marketing and Operations teams to advocate for partner needs and build functionality to support and recognize the work of community leaders

  8. Adapt quickly to product changes and limitations, and communicate these strategically to stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Proven track record of setting up and scaling processes across a global team and drive for operational excellence

  2. Experience working with product or engineering teams

  3. BA/BS degree or higher

  4. 8+ years experience in product, operations, project management or product partnerships roles

  5. Organization and communication experience

  6. Demonstrated experience in thinking strategically about issues, leading to recommendations and action plans

  7. Proven experience working cross-functionally with different levels of management, both internally and externally

  8. Fluency in English

  9. Knowledge of product development lifecycle

  3. Knowledge of how Facebook products could be leveraged to build community

  4. Product or technical experience in consumer technology companies (mobile focused)

  5. Experience using data to make decisions

  6. Market research experience

  7. Fluency in any other language
