Facebook Connectivity is seeking an individual who is passionate about connecting our global community to help us inform the development of our connectivity products and programs. The focus of this role will be informing the development of new connectivity initiatives based on quantitative analysis, industry research and partner insights. This individual will collaborate with the Product, Data Science, Engineering, Corporate Development and Policy teams to understand how connectivity is evolving, identify new opportunities to bring people online and inspire teams to take action.

This is a full-time position based in Menlo Park, California.

Required Skills:

  1. Conduct market assessments based on quantitative analysis of internal and external data, qualitative feedback and view of market

  2. Identify and evaluate long-term opportunities based on research, quantitative analysis, deep understanding of Facebook technologies and a strategic view of the industry and its business models

  3. Analyze product and competitor performance

  4. Evaluate commercial feasibility and performance of existing products/programs and make recommendations for performance optimization

  5. Analyze overall portfolio performance and optimize resource allocation

  6. Ability to travel internationally, up to 20% of the time with flexibility to work across time zones and influence remote teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience in a product management, management consulting, product strategy or equivalent function (partnered with product management and/or engineering on strategy)

  2. Quantitative analytical experience (i.e. SQL, R, Python, Stata) in decision making with large data sets and quantitative analysis

  3. BS/BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or related scientific discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with global telecommunications industry including understanding of industry business models and drivers, go-to-market strategies, products and technologies

  2. International business experience, especially working with emerging markets and diverse cultures

  3. Experience collaborating and leading cross-functionally with experience building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environment

  4. Highly organized, resourceful and action-oriented individual with experience driving focus, clarity and prioritization in a fast-paced environment

  5. Communication and presentation skills

  6. MBA
