Our Operations, Partnerships, and Technology team (OPTech) is a team that is passionate about working with cross-functional teams to improve their operational efficiency through the development of tooling and infrastructure. We are seeking an enthusiastic person that is passionate about the intersection of software engineering, trust & safety, compliance, and legal issues. This person will be responsible for engaging a multitude of stakeholders in and outside of Facebook’s legal department, to formulate and drive the execution of cutting-edge technical solutions to an array of emerging problems.
Help devise, create, and implement tooling and policies across the legal organization
Drive scale and automation through technology
Customize, maintain, and expand existing internal software solutions for a diverse set of operational teams
Experiment with emerging Facebook technologies to develop future solutions
Maintain systems for receiving, triaging and responding to technically oriented requests with tight, often life impacting, timelines
Incorporate new data pipelines into existing frameworks to ensure that information makes it where it’s needed
Work closely with frontline analyst to understand processing and operational needs
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or 4+ years of software development experience in lieu of a degree
3+ years of experience in software development
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Exposure to functional programming
Experience building operational solutions
Problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to multitask and work in an unstructured environment of fast growth and ambiguity
