Facebook Director, Product Surface Operations in Mountain View, California

Summary:

We are looking for an executive to lead our Product Surface Integrity Operations teams within Trust & Safety Operations. The Surface Process Operations teams are responsible for mitigating the risk of abuse across the full suite of Facebook products (Groups, Live Video, and improving the user experience. The teams focus on ideating, testing and implementing process improvements and strategic projects that enable us to prevent bad experiences for the Facebook community and improve accuracy.

This Director will have deep domain expertise in operations and an interest for product partnership, thought leadership and talent development. You will provide vision and strategy and drive execution as we support our rapidly growing community. You'll work in close partnership with and influence strategic investments with cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited to policy, product, process, systems/tooling, PR, data/analytics and specialized safety operations teams. You will also serve as an external representative with communities to help promote discussion and gather feedback as we seek to improve our support and operations. Required Skills:

  1. Serve as cross-functional leader in engaging with the global leadership team and teams across the company to identify new strategic areas, identify process improvement opportunities, influence roadmaps and go upstream to influence the product development cycle

  2. Manage and drive innovation in our Integrity operations efforts across the full suite of Facebook products

  3. Advocate for and lead strategic initiatives to transform the support experience for our community

  4. Ensure Facebook's role in global coverage and advocacy of key harm areas on the platform

  5. Partner with global leaders, HR, L&D & Recruiting to develop and execute on a holistic people strategy to attract, retain and develop top talent and role model leadership best practices

  6. Provide strong and visionary leadership to your teams, enhance and develop a strong team culture of trust and commitment to impact in how we support our community, defining north star for world class community support experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of operations domain experience, managing multi-country operations in domains such as customer service, risk management, process improvement in operations, safety

  2. 5+ years people management experience including managing leaders and managing remotely across regions, proven track record of attracting, scaling and developing teams

  3. Cross-functional leadership and relationship building: Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally

  4. Thought leadership: Strategic thinker with proven track record of transforming operations to provide customer experience through innovation and improvement

  5. Communicate to all levels of the organization, including executives

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in the technology or social media industry
