Facebook Finance Manager - Global Operations in Mountain View, California

Summary:

Facebook’s FP&A team partners closely with business leaders and managers across the company to drive strategic initiatives, optimize expense and headcount investments, track & report financials and analyze underlying business drivers & trends. We focus on using our unique view into the numbers to surface opportunities and to guide the efficient use of our resources. Successful candidates for this team have a bias toward action, exceptional partnership and communication skills, and an ability to engage in both detailed analytical & reporting work and strategic, high-level discussions.In this role, you will be the lead finance partner responsible for supporting the planning, strategic decision making, and forecasting & reporting activities for the Global Operations organization & will act as part internal strategic consultant, part financial business partner to the leadership team. You will gain invaluable experience in a position that offers significant responsibility as well as considerable opportunity to have a large impact within a lean, but rapidly growing Finance organization. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded top performer who excels in an unstructured environment, can juggle multiple business units and projects at a time, finds creative ways to tackle ambiguous problems, & has an interest in managerial responsibilities. The position is full-time and located in Mountain View, CA.

Required Skills:

  1. Create strong business partnerships with leaders and managers across Global Operations

  2. Influence business partner decisions through insightful synthesis of results & ad hoc analytics and business insights

  3. Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives to generate efficiencies

  4. Provide financial leadership for headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning

  5. Manage processes related to month-end and quarter-end close, including accruals and management reporting

  6. Build thoughtful analyses to drive better investment decisions and measure the efficacy of various programs

  7. Optimize existing monthly, quarterly, & annual forecasting processes and reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience in accounting concepts and financial planning

  2. 8+ years of financial analysis experience from technology, investment banking, strategic consulting, or public accounting firm

  3. Proven experience with engaging and challenging business partners as both an advocate and an objective assessor of their initiatives, programs and objectives

  4. Communication, project management & presentation experience

  5. Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, Hyperion Essbase

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree

  2. Detail-oriented, and able to multi-task and prioritize to deliver impact in fast-paced environment

  3. Ability to self-start & direct work in an unstructured environment
