Summary:

Facebook is looking for a Program Manager with experience in Policy, Technology and project management to join our Policy Program Team with Facebook India. The team’s mission is to create and design partnerships and programs to support communities online, build digital assets, content and curriculum to raise awareness on how our products may be used by our constituents and policy makers, and all other people on Facebook. As a Program Policy Manager, you will work closely with a number of other teams at Facebook, including our Marketing, Partnerships, Legal, Communications, Product, and Public Policy teams. You will be responsible for understanding Facebook’s business priorities and helping our team craft and implement policies that best serve the company and the organizations and people who use our platform. Successful candidates will have experience in policy, tech and working with civil society and will be able to provide insights that will contribute to the shaping of policies for our company. You should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve in all global markets. This is a full-time position located in New Delhi.

Required Skills:

  1. Craft and implement an Online Digital Curriculum

  2. Build relationships with and understand the perspectives of partners on internal teams such as Product, Public Policy, Business Partnerships and Development, Operations, Marketing, Communications and Legal

  3. Work in partnership with global programs team on the strategy for building relationships with policy makers, CSOs, think tanks and academics

  4. Work with political bodies, policymakers and non-governmental organizations on technology policy issues

  5. Build & manage meaningful partnerships and network with key organizations

  6. Represent Facebook in meetings with key stakeholders

  7. Collaborate and ensure consistency in approach to Facebook's policy issues

  8. Coordinate internal and external players across countries and time zones, keeping all informed of progress and deadlines

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in public policy, Legal, Political Science, Business or related field

  2. 9+ years of work experience in content, public policy or law

  3. Deep understanding of digital literacy, program design in technology

  4. Experience with project management and consensus-building across teams

  5. Experience developing policies, regulations, or standards related to Internet/social media/media content/product issues
