Facebook seeks a driven and experienced attorney to serve as Lead Product Counsel on the Facebook legal team. The role will focus on counseling the product and engineering teams that are building some of the most high-profile Facebook tools for developers and other partners. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
Serve as the primary legal point of contact and advisor for product, engineering, and other business teams
Analyze the products that Facebook builds for developers, advertisers and publishers to ensure compliance with global laws and regulations
Coordinate with legal, public policy and communications colleagues on external communication, policy development, and enforcement decisions
J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) with membership in at least one U.S. state bar
5+ years of legal experience, from a law firm or in-house experience (including applicable product counseling, regulatory, privacy or litigation experience)
Experience working cross-functionally, building relationships, and providing legal risk mitigation strategies under deadlines
Experience counseling on products related to mobile, cookies, APIs, SDKs, and similar technologies
Knowledge of international privacy and data use laws and regulations
Familiarity with app developer ecosystem
