Meta Project Manager, Developer Compliance Operations in New York, New York

Summary:

The Developer Compliance Operations team ensures that applications integrated with our platforms are high-quality and trustworthy. Working closely with other Facebook teams, we investigate and detect apps not compliant with our Platform Policies. Depending on the nature of the violation and the best user experience, we may take a variety of actions; everything from helping the developer/publisher fix the problem, to permanently removing the developer/publisher and application from our platform. We are committed to improve the platform experience for users, publishers and developers through the use of automated detection tools, strategic manual review, data analysis, guidance, and coordination with product teams. Our team is looking for an experienced team player to connect with internal and external teams, investigate and take action on violating apps, monitor + mature how our current enforcement processes work and ensure the best possible experience on our platform. In this position, you will interface with internal teams such as Policy, Partnerships, Legal, Product and Engineering, as well as with external teams. Successful candidates will have strong data skills, a bias toward action and enjoy finding patterns amid chaos.

Required Skills:

Project Manager, Developer Compliance Operations Responsibilities:

  1. Keep our Platform safe from malicious apps by ensuring due diligence of our team and our vendor teams in detecting and taking action on non-compliant apps

  2. Support on-call shifts to manage tasks and tickets assigned to our team

  3. Conduct in-depth investigations and provide root cause analysis reporting during escalations

  4. Develop a good understanding of abuse and how it affects the Facebook Platform

  5. Partner closely with internal teams from Policy, Partnerships, Legal, Product, and Engineering on operational issues impacting the ecosystem

  6. Analyze large and complex datasets and use data-driven insights to inform decision making

  7. Identify opportunities for automation and propose projects to scale our existing workflows

  8. Build expertise in developer-based abuse, policies, and the developer ecosystem

  9. Lead or support projects to optimize detection and enforcement capabilities, improve operational efficiency and ensure a good experience for our developers

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree with 2+ years working experience in operations, project management, business/data analytics, or related fields

  2. Strategic thinker, self-starter, intellectually curious and creative individual with experience operating in ambiguity

  3. Experience building connections with team members through effective communication and collaboration and in delivering results in a goal-oriented environment

  4. Experience in querying and analyzing large and complex data sets that provide data-driven insights to inform decision making and solve for business problems

  5. Experience assessing, analyzing and resolving complicated issues, and distilling that complexity into simple and concise communication

  6. Experience with providing project support by collaborating with project teams to establish project goals across multiple projects simultaneously

  2. Experience in at least one data visualization tool is a plus

Public Compensation:

$68,682/year to $111,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
