We are currently seeking an innovative engineering manager with a passion for technology to develop next generation consumer electronics, including near to eye display and imaging systems, at our research location in Redmond, WA.
Primary responsibility is conducting process and design co-optimization on next generation display components. This is a full-time position and requires an advanced degree in engineering, physics, or similar, and a strong background in photonic fabrication, design for manufacturability, statistical analysis, yield engineering.
Drive the overall functional capabilities to support both design and process feedback from fabricated next generation display components.
Define the team to support a rapid staffing plan to deliver these capabilities.
Develop performance analysis tools for large sets of data.
Support modeling and tolerancing analyses through data generation, dataset design and data analysis.
Support evaluating and characterizing optical elements and image processing algorithms.
Develop statistical analysis methods and tests to develop CIP programs.
Support overall yield analysis efforts in process engineering.
Support database management, database specification and report generation.
Engage cross-functionally with other researchers and engineers to develop concepts that advance the entire product pipeline (hardware, software, integration, infrastructure and applications).
Collaborate with external groups to advance our research and CIP goals.
Masters degree in a relevant field of science or engineering in physics, electrical engineering or material science.
Expertise with semiconductor yield engineering or related co-optimization field.
Expertise with statistical analysis and design of experiments.
Experience with system modeling.
Experience with optical metrology tools such as interferometry, image quality testing, polarization test, etc.
Experience leading a team of at least five engineers or researchers.
Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
Experience in one or more optical design tools such as Code V, Zemax, Light Tools or FRED.
Direct experience with semiconductor processes including patterning, deposition, etch and metrology.
