Required Skills:

Metrology Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and own challenging applications in support of Development and Manufacturing as an Applications Engineer in the Metrology and Inspection group.

  2. Pair tool capabilities with current yield issues to ensure adequate inline detection/learning.

  3. Improve Inline detection of yield issues using innovative techniques.

  4. Partner with vendors and equipment engineers to drive future tools to meet upcoming needs.

  5. Define roadmaps to meet requirements, goals, and milestones for a new technology process.

  6. Establish process controls and reaction mechanisms to protect the fab from excursion events.

  7. Strive to achieve and deliver leading edge process capability, yield, cost and manufacturability, including collaboration with cross-functional/cross-company teams and tool vendors to meet challenging program goals.

  8. Set up, document, and sustain control systems to ensure metrology capability.

  9. Develop specification documents, engage with suppliers, and drive qualification, installation, and enablement of new tools.

  10. Cross-train across Metrology and Inspection as needed to maintain support continuity.

  11. Work with other Metrology team members to gather complementary measurements for base lining and qualifying application solutions.

  12. Partner with process-engineering owners to improve process-control and yields.

  13. 30% Domestic travel required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Requires a Master's degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, or a related field. Completion of a graduate-level course, research project, or internship involving the following:

    1. Nanofabrication
    1. Process metrology
    1. Inspection
    1. Yield optimization
    1. Testing
    1. Material characterization and evaluation

Public Compensation:

$166,445/year to $189,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits
